October and November fun!

Eli and Caleb are having a great Fall season. We got to go to Eli's friend's birthday party. Duncan and his brother had a bike riding party at the park. Such a fun time!

Caleb has started writing recently. He writes Caleb and he is starting to copy write. Here he wrote, "I love you." Love watching as they learn new things!

Daphne and Caleb are both our sweet preschool kids and get to make fun crafts like these turkey hats at school!

Eli finished up football season. His team won 5 out of 6 games. Eli is so into watching sports now. He really got into the World Series and said that he will definitely playing baseball in the Spring.

Caleb went on a field trip to the post office with his class and all his school friends. He felt really big and enjoyed having Daphne and me come along.

Eli asked for weeks if we could go ride horses. Then we heard from Cherish kids that they had an opportunity come up for foster families to get to come ride horses. We were so excited and the boys loved it so much. Look at Eli's face as he hopped off the horse and ran to tell me how wonderful it was!

Eli the first grader

Eli loves his first grade teacher at Mathews Elementary. I think that we have been so blessed to have him in a school that has such amazing teachers.
Eli and Caleb ready for the first day of school!

Eli is such a big man around the school this year. He is confident as he walks into the building! Love watching him grow in strength and courage!
I just love this outfit! Isn't he a cute little man?!!! He says that all the kids think his Despicable Me shoes are the coolest shoes ever!
Eli started football this Fall! He is loving it! He is reading books about football, watching the games on t.v. with Jason, and having so much fun tackling and throwing ball! Love seeing him get involved in a sport and love it so much! Valerie has been his cheerleader and stayed for every practice.
Eli is already super successful this year! We are so proud of his progress. In spelling, he has gotten 100% on his first three tests. He also was at a DRA level 10 at the end of kindergarten which is a middle of first grade reading level. He just got tested again and most kids tend to regress over the summer. Instead he tested at a level 20 which is a beginning of second grade reading level! Way to go Eli!!! The library reading program really paid off! He was reading to me last night and I was amazed at how well he could stretch out hard words! He has also been reading Third Grade Detective books which are right at or a little above his level and he is still comprehending them!

Another football picture just because he looks so cute and so tough!

Eli already earning the Star Student Award for good character and being a great friend to everyone in his class!

Eli also learned a new skill on his bike. He is now riding so fast down hills. It scares me, but he is a pro. He can even stand up when riding so that he can make it up those hard hills!
We love the Springfield Nature Center and had a great time at the Insect-O-Rama.

It was a fun family field trip to learn about insects through different stations.
And fun crafts!

Ready for a great year!!!
